In 1984 I think there would be little disagreement that Van Halen was the coolest band in the world, and David Lee Roth the quintessential "rock star."
The problem is it's 2006 and now he's doing a bad Hayseed Dixie impression.
Suddenly that Folgers commercial doesn't seem so weird.
Update: As it turns out this is from a bluegrass Van Halen "tribute" album. It appears that DLH only sang a couple of songs for the record. Originally I was under the impression he did this himself, and a whole album of it at that. Somehow this makes it not seem so tragic. I mean we all knew Diamond Dave was insane anyway.
