Last night I stumbled across the coolest new group, The Pipettes. Imagine a cross between The Supremes and the B52's with the rawness of the Ramones and you'll get the idea. They have a 60's retro style but the songs are still totally fresh.

They're from the UK and I don't know much about them. They don't even have an album out (only singles, with the album is coming soon) but still seemed to have created quite a buzz in Europe. It's some of the most luscious, syrupy, energetic pop I've heard in years. Fun, fun, fun.
