God, that made me cry. I did see them on Pet Star a few weeks ago and was blown away. On there, you just the performance, with a glimpse of the relationship he had with that amazing dog. But geez, this just grabbed my heart.

Of course he does.

OMG, that's a Queensland Blue Heeler, a cattle dog - we had a female we had to put down last year at age 17, she looked just like Skid except with a cropped tail. This breed is very smart but more than that, they are NOT happy unless they are 'working', they love to learn tricks and do them for you. They are not "silly" dogs like a Golden or a lab. They're used to herd cattle up here in Idaho all the time, they are not scared of anything. In fact, once our dog, Spike, chased a mountain lion away from me when we were out fishing. She didn't hesitate, she charged that thing as soon as she saw it and he wasn't going to mess with her, he ran away. She saved my life that day. They also hold the world record for canine longevity: 29 years!!
